So, how about that PIOHost drama?

Not sure if it's OK to post just an offside here, or not.  I'm not trying to IMPORT the drama, but rather to discuss what the hell happened since I completely missed it, and now all of the $4/yr clients are shitting themselves since their contracts were voided by the new staff.

I have no idea what happened, but it seems more as though the assets were purchased, and the users were just incidentals to it.  Why else wouldn't you just try to oversell the OVZ and restrict the existing user CPU and bandwidth a little better?

Oh boy... you missed quite a few opportunities for a good laugh. Basically it's a drama in three acts:

Prologue (to understand the "Wigan fuckup"): https://www.lowendtalk.com/discussion/1 … orthhosts/
Act 1 - The Takeover*: https://www.lowendtalk.com/discussion/1 … t-limited/
Act 2 - The Breach: https://www.lowendtalk.com/discussion/1 … -breached/
Act 3 - The Revolt: https://www.lowendtalk.com/discussion/1 … -way-more/

* backed by PayPal Buyer Protection

I'm not going to write a summary for you as you should definetly explore this whole story in its entire beauty.

Ahahaha I saw the end of Acts 2, and was there for 3.  What a fucking shitshow.

I can't believe just how quick @jarland is to forgive and forget- but after my bogus ban, I'm back too, so...

Personally, I have no issue with Bopie, or Ishaq.  The way this was handled was pretty crappy, though.

I have no real issues with either of them personally either, how ever if you or I pulled this kind of crap we would be gone never to return. I thought better of the staff there, your bogus ban not withstanding. I was not asking for them to police anyone or anything only to try to clear the confusion from the real issue. Which was people were getting screwed royally and I am betting it is not over yet,

It always happens when the man in charge knows the person who goofed up.
They get off with an easier "punishment" if there even is one.
That is generally speaking. In this specific case it really went tits up when existing contracts was not honored. Thats what bothers me. If you buy a company or assets or whatever you dont really pick and choose what you want and what to throw away, not in the real world.

Thats a breach of contract without proper cause.

I agree and when they back pedaled and retracted, that just made it even worse. Especially when they did it AFTER their tags were removed. No amounts of apologizing or back pedaling would have made me even consider giving them back to them at that point. That showed their true colors as a company and people right there, at least to me it did anyways.
