Kernel Fixes Specter/Meltdown/Fuckwit

Hi,

when do you expect to have a new kernel that fixes the Specter/Meltdown/Fuckwit bug(s)?

And could we please get a more modern kernel:

Linux nl 2.6.32-042stab125.5 #1 SMP Tue Oct 17 12:48:22 MSK 2017 i686 GNU/Linux
Linux jp 2.6.32-042stab125.3 #1 SMP Wed Sep 27 19:27:11 MSK 2017 i686 GNU/Linux
Linux us 2.6.32-042stab123.2 #1 SMP Mon Apr 17 17:27:00 MSK 2017 i686 GNU/Linux
Linux uk 2.6.32-042stab123.1 #1 SMP Wed Mar 22 15:21:30 MSK 2017 i686 GNU/Linux
Linux it 2.6.32-042stab117.14 #1 SMP Tue Aug 30 17:12:57 MSK 2016 i686 GNU/Linux

Thanks.

All LES VPS are openvz and openvz kernel are all very old. Theoretically the patch will be backported.

Re: Kernel Fixes Specter/Meltdown/Fuckwit

First of all, you need to do some reading on the vz kernel version numbers, second of all don't worry about it, all the openvz LES nodes mentioned are nested and as such not vulnerable, they will be updated and rebooted anyway but the only persona with access enough to exploit them is me and I promise I wont do that smile

Re: Kernel Fixes Specter/Meltdown/Fuckwit

and just for the record, I use kernel care on all of them so the kernel number you see in the container is not accurate, it will never change version numbers viewable by an openvz container until the node reboots
