Request for Host Node Time Sync

On some of the Inception Hosting NAT VPS's I notice that time is out of whack. Would it be possible to request for a time sync (and maybe ntpd running always) on the host node so that time remains reasonably in sync?

It helps a lot for log files and syncing stuff to keep things tidy.

I assume this is something that affects all VPSs on the relevant nodes as it is OpenVZ and so time is totally controlled/set via the host node.

Thank you.

Re: Request for Host Node Time Sync

ah its a fairly quiet relaxed forum no need for closes etc, someone can always bump this if it happens again.

Re: Request for Host Node Time Sync

Bumping this up again (as opposed to opening a new request - I hope that's all right) as I'm noticing that the Italy and Netherlands locations (Inception) are again having time drifts. Hoping @Backtogeek can fix it yet again. Thank you.

But ntp isn't accurate to one second in 4000 years!

..probably still be someone using an RTC compatible format.

Re: Request for Host Node Time Sync

The NL node is now off by close to 1min and Italy is off by ~1s

@Backtogeek hopefully you'll see this and get a chance to fix ntpd on the host nodes!

One small step for Backtogeek and one giant (sync) leap for the crazy ntp-nat-nuts...

Thanks in advance.

Re: Request for Host Node Time Sync

Hi Anthony - could you take a look at the AZ node - time is off and I suspect it's because of the recent power outage at the Phoenix NAP. Thanks in advance.
