It's the same, as curl -4 ifconfi.co shows.

Re: reinstalling os

That is my ip: .98 and 2421. It's the same as I did with default install ;/ What I did the first time was to reinstall OS and went up in history of my command line.

Re: reinstalling os

Fine here, too.

ECDSA key fingerprint is SHA256:fPRUJcpBjTvrfCWVAWaNWf/3YrfEqQCARbAJDlCKHtQ.

You need to use the high ports on IPv4, but can use the standard ports on your IPv6 after you setup at least one IP in SolusVM.

Re: reinstalling os

So, I did reinstall to the debian 9 iso and added openssh-server. Can't login with root, but I created another user and I can login with that user. Thanks for help, everyone.

RootLogin=without-password or "no" has been the default for quite awhile. We thought you were having a connectivity issue.  smile

Re: reinstalling os

I was trying with "yes" with same result. I bet it's something really stupid, but hard to say what ;]

Re: reinstalling os

Did you restart the sshd service after changing /etc/ssh/sshd_config?

Re: reinstalling os

I dont seem to be able to find the reinstall option for the love of Christ.
I have an account with Inception and was trying to head for the "usual" place in the control panel but nada. Would anybody know where I took the wrong turn?

Thanks.

Re: reinstalling os

my bet is you are looking at the billing panel instead of the VPS control panel https://vpsadmin.inceptionhosting.com

Re: reinstalling os

And you'd win that bet wink.

Yes, I did look that control panel, I assumed the controls to be there. I did notice the two VPS logins (US and EU) on the main page as well but as the email address did not work I assumed it was something "else" .... well, until you mentioned it now and I went once more thoroughly through the sign up emails where the login credentials are mentioned. Apologies, my bad for having missed that.

Out of curiousity, why is US and EU split? I'd assume thats for servers in the respective regions but thats obviously not the case as mine are scattered across the globe and still reachable from one panel ..... hmmmm

Thanks

Re: reinstalling os

So my second guess is that you also did not read the email marked in capitals (READ IN FULL) which covers everything you are stuck on and gives you the link to the VPS panel and your username?

Re: reinstalling os

Well, as I wrote I must have skipped that bit as I assumed these controls would be in the usual place and not in a separate location.

Anyhow, I wasnt stuck anywhere anymore but was merely curious why the distiction between a US and EU panel.
