Setting up XMPP server

Prosody was set up more or less smoothly. I have configured it to listen to one of my forwarded ports (for example 172.123.456.789 : 21404), and i can "open" server via browser with address like

my-jabber-address.fm:21404

But jabber/xmpp client (Pidgin or Conversations) obviously can not connect to server because of using 5222 port.

I can't use IPv6, only v4. First option is to move to another hosting, but it's too simple. Second option is to take sources of Conversations, change 5222 to 21404 and rebuild.

Are there any other options? Maybe we can somehow forward 5222 to my forwarded ports?

Re: Setting up XMPP server

That is not an option sorry, why is 5222 hard coded?

Re: Setting up XMPP server

I don't have a huge set of Jabber clients with OTR for Android to choose from, only "Conversations legacy". Thank goodness it's open source. You can even find "5222" string in Github repo.

So just to download Android Studio, sources, make one change, rebuild...

Moreover, it seems that Jabber clients at all don't have menus to set the port.

Re: Setting up XMPP server

In that case, you wont be able to use NAT IPv4 for this sorry.

Re: Setting up XMPP server

It seems that I was wrong... You can change the port in Android application...
