Re: Reboot a MiniVPS and other virtual server to change operation system

You're currently running Centos 5 or 6? As far as I'm aware, there is no upgrade path from earlier versions of Centos to C7. Well, technically there is for 6->7 but nobody will tell you to actually *do* it. If you're on a variant other than Centos and want to convert to Centos, that pretty obviously won't work.

Why haven't you been doing updates on these boxes?

Re: Reboot a MiniVPS and other virtual server to change operation system

Hi guys,
thank you for replying me.
What I want to do is totally clean the VM and install a fresh operating system. Better if centos7.
In this moment I have installed in all the server defult os, eg. 2.6.32-042stab138.1 (Debian-5) or Debian-10+deb9u5

I am logged in the page https://clients.inceptionhosting.com/clientarea.php
I can see my servers but, the only action I can see are
(Left bar)
- Reboot
- Shutdown
- Boot
- Request Cancellation

And something similar in the bottom buttons.

I am in the wrong place, url, site? big_smile
Is there any interface I can use to run the new installer?

To reinstall you need to be logged into the SolusVM control panel.
The login information was sent in the welcome email, find that and you get the URL and the login/password.

Re: Reboot a MiniVPS and other virtual server to change operation system

Brialliant! I finally found all the mails with the info, and I logged in.
From now I should be go ahead alone. Thanks for help that drive me, very appreciate.

Last doubt I got in the last days going around the console, if I am not asking to much. big_smile
Is it correct to think that I am not able to upgrade (add RAM+vCPUs) to the MiniVPS? Or it is possible also over this server stacks?

Let me know,
have a good time smile
